I bought this book in Hong-Kong, on top of the peak. I needed a book during our endless bus trips through cambodia. I was appealed by this catchy title: who doesn't dream about making a living working 4 hours per week?
Timothy Ferriss was voted most innovative business people in 2007. He encourages the readers to start living their dreams by
- quitting the 9-5 (working hours)
- becoming more efficient in your job using the 80-20 Paretto Law (20% of your actions leads to 80% of the results)
- outsourcing your time-consuming tasks to a virtual assistant in India
- find your muse (the internet business that will enable you to generate a steady stream of cash-flow) and automate it
It was pretty insightful to me. Here are some potential muses I'm thinking about :
- Write an ebook 'How to get into HEC' (my business school in France)
- Sell my parent's antiques online and then write an ebook on 'How to sell antiques online successfully' -> then advertise it in specialized magazines
- Write another ebook on 'How to make money (online?) as a student'
- Write a real book that would be a guide for young people in their 20s. Dealing about business, success, studies, sports, family, friends, seduction, public speaking, charisma and other important problems/topics a 20 year old student is lead to face someday
- Sell art online: consider drop-shipping or contact artists that I met in Vietnam
- Sell guitar tabs & piano sheet music of current tube songs on radio/TV
- Sell ebook & product on 'How to stop eating your nails'
- Write ebook on 'How to sleep well and gain energy'
- Sell slack lines online
- Sell hookas
This list is to be continued & implemented.
